Continuing the challenge from last week, I've completed another 7 days!

Day 8: Cross Stitch

Day eight consisted of some cross stitch practice. It took a few iterations before I got the edges of the leather looking more appropriate (compare bottom vs top).

Day 9: Wallet Pattern

For day nine, I decided to go with making a 3D printed template for a card holder - similar to the wallet that I was going to do last week.

Instead of making individual holes where the stitching should go, I opted for a cut-out the length of the stitch. That way, I can create a mark with my awl and change up the punch type (hole vs diamond) and spacing per wallet, if I want.

Day 10: Wallet

Day 10 consisted of marking, cutting, and stitching a card holder using the template from day nine.

Day 11: Box Stitch

On Day 11, I decided to try out box stitching. I wasn't sure what the use case for it was, but after looking at a couple videos, it's used for stitching pieces of leather together at a 90 degree angle. It can also be used to join two edges together without exposing holes on the inside.

My stitching lines are atrocious, but I'll take it - considering it was a first attempt and my leather wasn't very thick.

Day 12: Rounded Corners

I prefer rounded corners over sharp ones, so I spent some time practicing some rounded corner cuts for day 12, since I don't currently have a stamp / punch to do that.

Day 13: Drawer Insert

For day 13, I decided to switch things up a bit and created a drawer insert for organizing my stuff, rather than doing something related to leather working.

Day 14: 3D Design & CAD Tutorials

In an attempt to improve my design abilities for 3D printing, I spent some time going through Prusa's Design Principles for 3D Printed Parts and Mango Jelly's v1 FreeCAD playlist.
