Reference Images With FreeCAD
A simple way to use reference images in your FreeCAD sketches and designs
Occasionally, there are some items that you want to model, but getting the exact dimensions can be difficult. An example would be something complex with a lot of curves or, in my case, a Gridfinity bin to hold a simple pencil sharpener
One option to handle this is to use an image of the item as a reference, and base your sketches off of that. Unfortunately, this could take a couple attempts if your scaling is off or tolerances don't quite line up. That being said though, how can this be accomplished?
